Blade Render was founded in Le Locle, Switzerland in 2014 by Jolyon Lambert. Jolyon had originally used 3D rendering as a method to present design concepts whilst working for Longines in St Imier. Upon seeing the rendering work that he had been producing in St Imier, Jolyon was offered his first freelance project in the nearby watchmaking city of Le Locle. It was here that Blade Render was formed. Today, Blade Render is operated from the UK, but the studio is as close with Swiss watchmaking as ever, holding an office in La Chaux de Fonds, Switzerland.

Blade Render’s two rendering artists both possess Masters degrees in Industrial Design as well as decades of combined experience with Solidworks. As a result, we have an exceptional understanding of design and manufacturing.

Blade Render offers 3D Product Design, 3D Modelling, 3D Image Rendering and 3D Animation services. If you already have a 3D CAD model, we can prepare it for rendering, but if you don’t, we can make your model from technical drawings. Blade Render has been assisting brands with everything from conceptual design all the way to final product visualisation for over 10 years.

Over the years, many watchmakers, including Gronefeld and AkriviA have hired Blade Render to make images for their entries into the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie. To date, Blade Render images have been used in two GPHG wins and numerous shortlistings as well.
